A little more about the property

Zermatt luxury self catered penthouse Zeus is a very spacious (180 m2) ski chalet apartment on the top floor (with lift access) of a recent chalet with an unmatched view over the Zermatt village rooftops dominated by the Matterhorn.

Penthouse Zeus is situated in the Spiss area of Zermatt at the head of the village. The train station and the Sunnegga Express base lift are both a five minute walk away. There is a bus stop just outside the building.

Situated in Haus Jaspis close to the main street it is almost a mirror image of the adjacent Penthouse Zora.

It sleeps 6 in 3 double bedrooms and has two large bathrooms. All three bedrooms can be configured with double or twin beds.

Zeus combines modern luxury with an Alpine feel. All the ceilings are wooden-beamed, their sloping aspect giving a cosy feel, while their double height in the living room provides the luxury of spaciousness. The tall south-facing windows are floor to ceiling giving you a permanent panorama, both night and day, over the twinkling village and its majestic mountains.

A superbly equipped modern designer kitchen is open plan, giving onto the dining area with its big wooden table and generous seating. The large living area has a wide wood burning fireplace, leather sofas and subtle lighting. All these spaces give onto a wide south-facing balcony with unmatched views of Zermatt.

The 3 bedrooms have wood-beamed sloping ceilings, they are large and cosy with beautiful wooden ceilings. One bathroom has a jacuzzi bath, shower and WC; while the other features a large shower and WC.

There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The chalet building has also a ski-room and a laundry room.

Penthouse Zeus is a guest top favourite chalet, that everyone would like to live permanently in!

If rented with adjacent Penthouse Zora the two properties can sleep 12 guests. The Penthouse Zermatt Lodge in the neighbouring building offers a further 10 beds for a larger group.

Perfect base for a spring pow hunt with 3 kids and two dogs. The whole place gets lots of natural light, the view over the village is stunning and appreciated both the fireplace and high quality kitchen wchich is exceptionally well equipped. Hosts not only responsive and helpful but also very nice in person sharing the same passion for the mountains. All in all 5/5

Great space, very clean, and very family room and bedrooms. The pictures of the unit are accurate. 5 minute walk to the main village centre. Don’t waste the $12-$15 for one of the cab rides for less than 1/4 mile. We would definitely stay in this particular unit again if we return.

Chalet Zeus was an incredible stay. The view of the Matterhorn was spectacular. The chalet was perfect for three adult guests given two full bathrooms. The hosts were very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and checking out late due to our travel schedules. I was highly appreciative of their flexibility. They provided slippers, robes, and toiletries – all ideal for light packers.

Around 500 metres from the train station, and slightly out of the town, but close enough to conveniently walk. Chalet Zeus is well positioned with a lovely view towards the Matterhorn. The Chalet had everything you need for a skiing holiday, with all amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend

I picked the apartment for its view, and it did not disappoint. We booked 2 weeks in Zermatt and wanted to spend time sitting in sun and enjoy the Matterhorn and mountain views. It is very open in front of the building which is usual in a very build town which meant the view could be enjoyed in all weather. The rooms in the apartment are excellent, large and well laid out. Beautiful living room with open fire.
