Another 50cm of snow has fallen on the upper slopes (and 80cm on the Monte Rosa), giving a depth of 140cm on the top slopes of the Matterhorn area and 73cm at Gornergrat. This is the third substantial snowfall in a month. As you can see from the live webcam image below, the ski pistes are being actively prepared and many are already open.
